The diagram below depicts a RCC frame structure building. Two forces acting on the center of the beam they are compression and tension, column is undergoing with compression force. The lowest part of a substructure and transfer building loads directly to the supporting soil by vertical pressure.

The load transfer is shown from the parapet wall to the floor slab then the beams and onto to columns and then the floor slab. It finally transfers the load onto the foundations.

We learned how load is transferred in different types of structure, the different types of foundations such as pile, raft, stepped and isolated footings, the different properties of materials such as compression, tension, plasticity, rigidity and the different forces acting on it such as restoring and deforming forces.
